Mumbai (TAN): An Oman Air flight from here headed to Muscat returned shortly after takeoff and made an emergency landing at the airport here after one of its engines failed, media reports said.
The Oman Air flight WY204 experienced the engine failure barely 10 minutes after taking off.
According to reports a full emergency was declared at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport shortly after 1640 hours and the aircraft landed safely around 1700 hours.

Around 205 passengers were on the aircraft. No one has been injured.
Torrential rain in Mumbai has severely hit operations at the airport here with the main runway being run since Monday night after a SpiceJet aircraft overshot the runway while landing. A secondary runway is operational.
