Four Seasons Hotel Beijing will help guests catch up on their much-needed snooze

Beijing (TAN): Sleep can be elusive in today’s hectic times. While the body cries for rest, the mind can still be alert, what with stressful lifestyles, unhealthy food habits and a massive serving of electronic devices, to top it all.

Canadian luxury hospitality company Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has introduced a programme that helps guests catch up on their much-needed sleep in a relaxed environment at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing in China.

Called ‘Sleep Well’, the day-long programme introduces guests to experts who use various techniques including meditation, aromatherapy, healthy eating and harmonising singing bowls to induce restful sleep in guests.

Spa Director at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, Julia Li said: “In our time-pressured world, many of us are doing more yet sleeping less. Coupled with our over-use of electronic devices and the increasing effects of stress, our poor bodies are quite literally getting out of the habit of positive sleep patterns.”

“Sleep Well is our way of redressing the situation by connecting guests with local experts who can help them rediscover good sleep techniques and get their circadian rhythms back on track,” she added.

Guests can also opt for a new gemology sleep treatment that lasts for two hours in the hotel’s spa. The therapy uses a range of techniques such as a ritual with spina date seed tea and healing tuning forks, massages with heated gemstones, and involves pouring of coconut oil in a stream on the forehead.
