Jakarta (TAN): The Paris Region Tourism Board is campaigning to attract tourists from the ASEAN countries to the City of Lights.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
According to a report in The Jakarta Post, Paris received 420,000 visitors from Southeast Asia in 2017 who generated revenue to the tune of EUR 358 million.

Realising the opportunity in ASEAN travellers, the Paris Region Tourism Board has been making efforts to woo more tourists from this part of the world. To this effect, the board is opening tourist information points and offering an unlimited access card to Paris visitors.
Such information points have opened at various airports where people can get information in their own language, says the report.

The Paris Region Pass gives travellers access to public transportation, cruises on the Seine and museums.
