(TAN): PARKROYAL on Pickering, the eco-chic hotel located in the heart of Chinatown, Singapore, has been renamed PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering following the launch of the new PARKROYAL COLLECTION brand from the parent company, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

The new identity has been developed to bring together the three core brand attributes of iconic design, eco-friendly and sustainable operation, as well as lifestyle and well-being, and will initially feature two of Singapore’s most recognised hotels – PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering and PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay (formerly Marina Mandarin).

As testament to the core brand attributes, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering was recently awarded the title of ‘World’s Leading Green City Hotel 2019’ for the second consecutive year at the World Travel Awards.

The win acknowledges the hotel’s ongoing contribution to global sustainability in the industry through its multiple eco-friendly initiatives, such as energy conservation throughout the hotel and the introduction of its ‘No Meat, No Problem’ menu earlier this year – a specially curated plant-based menu.

In addition to the recognition at the World Travel Awards, the hotel was also voted ‘Asia’s Leading Green Hotel’ for the 5th year running.

Speaking ahead of the hotel’s seventh anniversary, Mr. Edward Kollmer, General Manager at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, said, “For seven years now, this Singapore icon has been setting international standards in the hotel and hospitality industry in Singapore and around the world. The rebrand to PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering recognises the role the hotel has played in promoting design, sustainability and health & wellness within the industry and marks the start of the next chapter in the hotel’s history. We look forward to focusing on our core strengths as we continue to pioneer industry best practice and provide our patrons with a hospitality experience that is second-to-none.”
