The government of Seychelles is now permitting entry to nationals from a number of countries.

(TAN): After months of lockdown, the first international flight landed at Seychelles International Airport in Victoria this week. And this had us and travellers worldwide dreaming about visiting this paradise island nation.

Sailing

Seychelles has more than a hundred sparkling isles set in the Indian Ocean. Guests can make the most of the round-the-year beautiful weather and pristine water and enjoy sailing activities.

Get a skippered or bareboat from an international or local charter companies and enjoy a lifetime of experience as you sail around the islands that are divided into two distinct groups: the Inner and Outer Islands. 

Diving

Seychelles offers diverse and impressive diving options for guests. The Inner Islands, which are the remains of a submerged mountain range, offer excellent PADI diving facilities from a number of dive sites. The Outer Islands, with their coralline and sand cays, are more suited for experienced divers. 

Although diving is allowed throughout the year, the best month are from April-May and October-November.

Flora & Fauna

A trip to Seychelles is never complete without spending a day at Aldabra, the second largest coral atoll in the world. Famous for its distinctive fauna, including the largest population of Giant Tortoises, visitors need special permission to enter this remote atoll.

Guests can also head to Vallee de Mai in Praslin Island on a ferry. Believed to be the original Garden of Eden, this still has a mystical and enchanting appeal. It is here that one gets to see the wild Coco de Mer, the world’s largest coconut, weighing up to 20 kg!

Fishing

Seychelles has some of the richest fishing grounds in the world. The abundance of wahoo, sailfish, dorado, tuna, rainbow runner and trophies such as marlin, make for an unforgettable fishing experience for newbies and seasoned fisherman.

Traditional bottom-fishing also produces a dazzling array of grouper, job fish, snappers and emperors and visitors can venture into the shallow waters of the Outer Islands to land a chance of catching one of these varieties of fish. 

Unwind & Rejuvenate

Spend a day walking around the capital city of Victoria and check out the local Sir Selwyn Selwyn Clarke Market for a harmonious blend of the old and new Seychelles life and food. Take time to wander around the Creole-style buildings and enjoy the view of the granite mountains in the backdrop.

Relax and rejuvenate in one of the numerous pristine beaches of  Seychelles. Discover new coasts and alcoves each day as you enjoy mouthwatering dishes. Our favorite beaches are Anse Georgette, Anse Lazio, Anse Source d’Argent, Anse Georgette and Petite Anse. Enjoy the magnificent sunsets, as you watch gigantic waves crash on the shores.

From the re-commencement of commercial flights in August, the government of Seychelles is permitting entry to nationals from a number of countries qualified as low and medium risk. It is mandatory for travellers to have a negative COVID-19 PCR certificate from an authorised laboratory dating no more than 72 hours from the date of travel.
