According to Euro Weekly News, tourism minister for the Balearic Islands Iago Negueruela said safe tourism should start from “from the end of March,” and “first of all, however, there is the task of positioning, selling and explaining to the world that the islands are a safe destination”.

Spain’s tourism sector has reportedly suffered losses amounting to EUR 70 billion (USD 84.7 billion) this year.
