London (TAN): “I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want…”
Attention, Spice Girls fans! The original Union Jack-painted bus from the classic 1997 movie Spice World is up for rent on Airbnb.
Fans can book an overnight stay for June 14 and 15 when the bus is parked at Market Square, in London’s Wembley Park neighbourhood.
Suzanne Godley, whose ‘childhood obsession’ were the Spice Girls, listed the iconic bus on Airbnb.

“My parents were subjected to my tone-deaf performances as Baby Spice, and I must have watched the Spice World movie hundreds of times. And while I have grown up over the years, I don’t think I’ve ever grown out of my love for them,” she said.
When her boss told her he was considering buying the Spice Bus, Godley was ‘desperate’ to participate in its refurbishment.
“We’ve worked hard over the past few months to turn the bus into a home, in keeping with its legacy, and I’m so excited to open it up to the public with the support of Airbnb. Being part of this project has been like a dream come true and I can’t wait to meet other Spice Girls fans through this experience,” she added.
The living area downstairs, decorated with pink Union Jack cinema chairs, comes with a collection of vintage 90s magazines and CDs. Potted plants, a ‘Girl Power’ neon sign, wooden floor, and cushions in vibrant colours in the seating area complete the bold yet homely look of downstairs. The bedroom is upstairs, featuring more plants, an animal-print carpet that stands out, and a couch with abundant cushions.
General Manager for Northern Europe, Airbnb, Hadi Moussa, said: “Whether traveling to a new city or re-discovering a familiar destination, Airbnb is all about helping people find unique and unforgettable travel experiences.”
“Being one of the first people in the world to stay in the iconic Spice Bus is a dream come true for any fan and a once in a lifetime way to spend time with friends or family,” he added.
The bus, that can house up to three guests, will be available for booking from May 22 for GBP99 per night.
While guests are required to be dressed in 90s clothing, and encouraged to take selfies in the driver’s seat, they are not allowed to smoke or bring pets along.
