New York City (TAN): TripAdvisor CEO Steve Kaufer has said the challenge in the travel industry was to get businesses to follow sustainable practices.
Speaking at the Skift Global Forum here, he appreciated UK’s Prince Harry of helping bring together travel giants such as TripAdvisor, Booking Holdings and Ctrip to work together to develop sustainable and environment-friendly practices.

Kaufer, who has been outspoken about the plight of refugees and the anti-immigrant stance of President Trump, said TripAdvisor sees the refugee issue as a humanitarian issue, not a political one.
Kaufer said Marriott had done a great job training refugees to take entry-level jobs in the hospitality industry, Skift reported.
