(TAN): Pedregal is a​n​ ​upmarket hillside neighbourhood built on untamed granite hills. The coastal community of Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas ​in Mexico ​is located southwest of Cabo San Lucas’ major commercial centre. There are plenty of seafood restaurants that draw tourists to this area.

​What to do in Pedregal

  1. Lovers Beach: Playa de los Amantes, often known as Lovers Beach, is a well-known tourist destination in Pedregal. The stunning El Arco rock structure can be seen from it. This beach is known for its serenity and breathtaking beauty.
  2. The Arch of Cabo San Lucas: This location is particularly known for snorkelling. This spot has a charming arch that rises three stories high. It is one of the most picturesque locations in Pedregal.
  3. Puerto Paraíso Shopping Mall: This shopping centre is a fantastic tourist destination all by itself. There are excellent restaurants all around this mall.
  4. Mt. Solmar: Mt. Solmar is a rocky peak that is well-known for its hiking opportunities. Many rock-climbing enthusiasts also visit this peak. The hike up and down takes around two hours. This is an ideal destination for those tourists who want to go hiking or rock-climbing.

  • Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos: Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos is a 24-acre resort situated near the Los Cabos beach. It has a private beach area as well as private pools in the rooms. There are 113 rooms in this resort. This resort also has a remarkable fitness centre.
  • Cabo Vista Hotel: The Cabo Vista Hotel is the most conveniently located hotel because it is close to all the important Pedregal sights. The distance from the hotel to the city centre in Cabo San Lucas is 5 minutes by car. This is a cosy hotel, but it is for adults only. 
  • La Vista Luxury Villas: La Vista is a cosy club community with opulent villas. The three-star property offers several amenities like free parking, free Wi-Fi, and breakfast. This villa is very close to Marina Cabo San Lucas.

Food​

  • Taqueria El Compirri: This is a very famous Mexican restaurant in Pedregal that is known for its delicious tacos and friendly staff.
  • Cibola Restaurant: This restaurant serves Mexican cuisine with a Mediterranean touch. This restaurant faces the ocean and is situated within the Clubhouse at Montecristo Estates. 
  • Azulea The Rooftop & Steak House: This is a happening spot that is famous for its cocktails, tacos, frozen drinks and steaks. 
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House Los Cabos: This steak house serves what is arguably the best steak in Pedregal. This restaurant is a favourite among the tourists who enjoy a fine dining experience.

When ​to visit

April to early June is a good time to visit when the summer heat is less, and people can enjoy summertime activities. July and August are the hottest months.

How ​to go

Pedregal is close to the marina and downtown Cabo San Lucas. The Los Cabos International Airport is the closest airport. The distance between Los Cabos International Airport and Pedregal is about 44.15 km. Take a taxi from ​the airport (SJD) and it will take ​you to your destination​ in around 45 minutes​.
