Chicago (TAN): Amtrak has recently launched a new thruway bus service that offers two daily round trips between Milwaukee and Green Bay in United States’ Wisconsin state.
Amtrak coordinated with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to provide the service that connects passengers to the Amtrak Hiawatha rail route between Milwaukee and Chicago.

WisDOT had been looking for ways to provide I-41 service after coach company Greyhound stopped operating in the area last October. The new service will be provided alongside the current daily round-trip on I-41 and I-43, with stops at Appleton, Oshkosh and Fond du Lac between Green Bay and Milwaukee.
With the new service, customers will be able to make round trips between the I-41 cities and Chicago, and Milwaukee’s Mitchell Airport, Sturtevant and Glenview, Illinois, on the same day.
“This service provides residents in the I-41 corridor with convenience, comfort and connection. It expands options for passengers traveling for business or leisure,” WisDOT Secretary-designee Craig Thompson said.

The company produced a video to highlight the new service.
“Our new video shows how easy it is to Get Carried Away on the combination of Amtrak services,” vilter added.

While adult fares between Green Bay and Milwaukee through Appleton are USD28 for each direction, passengers can continue to Chicago through Hiawatha train for an additional USD11, taking the total fare to USD39 each way.
