The Baltimore Inner Harbor

Baltimore (TAN): If you’re in Baltimore, you have to keep wandering around, especially near the Inner Harbor to discover treasures this old seaport has in store for you.

My mother, always as restless as she is, was constantly telling me since we’ve reached Baltimore a day ago, to take her to the harbor. So we went out for a quick walk in the scorching sun, and barely three blocks away from our hotel (we are putting up at Hilton) we found the bustling Inner Harbor, dotted with cyclists and families enjoying the 4th of July weekend.

The large stationary ship at the harbor looks like a lone adventurer stuck in time. There are several boats and water taxis that you can rent for an hour or two, and the staff at the harbor are really friendly and cooperative.

There are several eateries, most of them serving fresh soft shell crabs and giant lobsters, and you can try any of them because the seafood is fresh everywhere in the area.

We walked back to Kona Grill near the Baltimore Convention Center, ordered for a plate of crispy crab sushi, smoked tuna rice bowl and firecracker salmon sashimi.

Ah! The food! Kona Grill serves you food just the way you want it to be, and you get happy hours through the afternoon.
