Baltimore, US (TAN): The state of Maryland in the US is known as a seafood destination and one item that tourists always look for here is crab.
In what is definitely good news for them, the Maryland Office of Tourism has launched an online crab and oyster trail to help those looking for restaurants, markets and state-wide events.
March 9 was National Crab Meat Day and that is when the Maryland Office of Tourism started offering the new tool for seafood lovers.

“The state of Maryland, we’re known as a seafood destination,” Matthew Scales, of the Maryland Office of Tourism, was quoted as saying by the CBS Baltimore. “People coming here are going to come here for the crabs, and it’s a huge economic boost for our state.”
Maryland is a state in the mid-Atlantic region of the US, bordering Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia to its south and west; Pennsylvania to its north; and Delaware to its east. The state’s largest city is Baltimore, and its capital is Annapolis.

At the Costs Inn in Baltimore, chefs say that Maryland prepares seafood like nobody else.
“We steam, it’s live-steamed,” Pete Triantafilos, of the Costs Inn, told CBS Baltimore. “We steam with seasoning and it’s just that Baltimore tradition that is not done anywhere else.”
Although crab season is from April to November, you can find crab all year-round at the Deck Crab House in Edgewood, Baltimore.
The Deck Crab House is one of the dozens of family-owned businesses that people can discover on the new virtual trail.
