Miramar (TAN): American budget carrier Spirit Airlines has revealed an Airbus A321 aircraft featuring California-based media and entertainment company Disney’s character ‘Dumbo’ to celebrate the imminent release of a movie by the same name.

‘Dumbo’, directed by Tim Burton, is based on the classic story of a flying elephant everyone adores. The movie is slated for release on March 29, 2019.
Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Sales & Marketing Bobby Schroeter said: “As Florida’s Hometown Airline, we are excited to bring the magic of ‘Dumbo’ to our fleet.”
“The themes in Disney’s ‘Dumbo’ align with Spirit’s mission to inspire our guests and families to take flight with the best value in the sky. This special addition to our fleet is another opportunity to surprise and delight our valued Guests and showcase Spirit’s fun, friendly service,” he added.

The Dumbo-themed plane that took off from Michigan’s Detroit Metro Airport to Florida’s Orlando International Airport, will fly across the United States for two months. Passengers travelling via Detroit, Orlando, San Juan, Fort Lauderdale, and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will be able to fly on the Dumbo-liveried plane on the first three days of operations.
