(TAN): IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened voco Chicago Downtown and Holiday Inn Chicago Downtown – Wolf Point. Located in the city’s River North district, the property marks voco hotels’ first location in Chicago and sixth in the US. Previously a Holiday Inn, the newly opened hotel underwent a full transformation to become IHG’s first dual-branded voco hotel and Holiday Inn property, IHG said in a news release.

One of 17 brands in the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio, voco hotels is IHG’s fastest-growing premium offering. The new dual-branded hotel reflects this commitment to delivering elevated comforts, occupying 10 floors and 521 rooms of a historic building that has been a Chicago icon for more than four decades. With Holiday Inn being one of the most recognized and trusted travel brands in the world, bringing people together for moments that matter, and voco hotels’ distinct premier offerings and hosted service, the property offers an unmatched experience for leisure and business travellers.
