SpiceJet to fly nonstop daily to Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah from Kozhikode, India

New Delhi (TAN): India-based budget airline SpiceJet will fly daily nonstop to Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah from Kozhikode in Kerala from April 20 this year.

The Saudi Arabian port city will be SpiceJet’s ninth international destination.

It is also the airline’s second nonstop flight to Jeddah after the announcement of the Hyderabad-Jeddah route.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of our new flight connecting Kozikhode with Jeddah right after announcing direct flight connecting the key pilgrim destination to Hyderabad. We are very sure that the new flight will benefit thousands travelling between the two cities for pilgrimage, business or leisure,” said SpiceJet’s Chief Sales and Revenue Officer Shilpa Bhatia.

To celebrate the opening, SpiceJet is offering special fares for its passengers. While tickets for the Kozhikode-Jeddah route are priced at INR 13,399, the Jeddah-Kozhikode tickets will cost INR 12,199. Both fares are all-inclusive.

The route is expected to serve pilgrims travelling to Mecca and Medina from Saudi Arabia’s commercial capital.

SpiceJet will deploy its Boeing 737 Max for the service.

According to the schedule, flight SG 792 will leave Kozhikode daily at 0535 hours, and reach Jeddah at 0835 hours, local time. The return trip will see flight SG 793 take off from Jeddah daily at 0945 hours, and arrive Kozhikode at 1805 hours, local time.
