London (TAN): British Airways will fly to Croatia’s Split this summer so that passengers can participate in the annual Yacht Week to be held in Croatia.
The Yacht Week, that kicked off on June 21, will continue for the subsequent 13 weeks. It is the longest floating festival in the world, with Croatia being one of the six locations globally to host it.

The new service too, will begin June 21, and will be available until September, with the airline operating three flights each week to Split. It will also be the first time that flights to Croatia will take off from London City Airport.
“Croatia is a new destination for us and one which our customers have told us they want from London City. It is one of the fastest growing holiday destinations and we are delighted to offer new direct flights for the summer,” said British Airways’ general manager commercial and customer at London City Airport Luke Hayhoe.
Peter Downes, Aviation Director at London City Airport, said the new seasonal service to Split will open up leisure routes from London City Airport.

“Using the city’s most central airport, sun-seeking Londoners can reach the idyllic Dalmatian coast conveniently and quickly, to discover its culture, food, stunning breaches, or as the gateway to Croatia’s islands and its famous Yacht Week,” he added.

According to the schedule, flight BA7337 will depart London at 1455 hours on Mondays and Thursdays, landing in Split at 1830 hours. The return flight BA7336 will take off from Split at 1920 hours, arriving London at 2055 hours.

Flight BA7337 will leave London at 1410 hours on Fridays to reach Split at 1745 hours, while the return flight BA7336 will depart Split at 1830 hours, reaching London at 2005 hours.
British Airways, that also flies to Split from London’s Heathrow Airport, has increased frequency on the route to seven flights per week this year.
