(TAN): Hyatt Hotels Corporation said that Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa has joined the JdV by Hyatt portfolio, becoming the first Independent Collection hotel in Napa Valley.

The property, designed by AvroKo, breathes new life into the classic roadside motel experience while evoking a spirit of exploration and nostalgia. Situated in California’s wine country at the head of the Silverado Trail, the hotel offers a hidden gem getaway for road trip warriors and backyard explorers.

Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa recently expanded its offerings with 34 all-new Deluxe King and Deluxe Queen guestrooms, each featuring a private terrace or balcony and elevated California comfort. According to the announcement, the hotel plans to introduce five new villa accommodations in 2024, bringing the total key count to 102 rooms.

The property’s standout feature is its geothermal hot springs and mineral baths, making it an ideal destination for wellness enthusiasts. With two natural mineral water pools, a mineral water hot tub, and the MoonAcre spa, guests can indulge in signature treatments like the mud bake, which combines geothermal salt soaks and mineral-rich baths. David Tarr, SVP of development for the Americas at Hyatt, said, “We’re excited to welcome Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa into our World of Hyatt loyalty programme and to offer all travellers a getaway experience that embodies the true spirit of Napa Valley.”

Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa also provides a vibrant space for celebrations, meetings, and retreats. The on-site restaurant, Fleetwood, offers a hyper-local produce-driven experience with an Italian and Mediterranean vibe. Chef Edgar Zecua creates a rotating menu emphasizing seasonality and wood-fired fine food. Tarr added, “Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa demonstrates Hyatt’s commitment to growing the JdV by Hyatt portfolio with one-of-a-kind boutique hotels in key leisure markets.”
