(TAN): Fuzhou Marriott Hotel Riverside opened in the capital city of Fujian province, China on October 12. The new hotel is strategically located in a prime location in the centre of Donghu Digital Town in Changle district. 

Fuzhou Marriott Hotel is only five minutes’ walk from Fuzhou Future Center and Fuzhou Digital China Convention and Exhibition Center, venue for the annual Digital China Summit. Situated next to Fuzhou’s scenic East Lake, the hotel also offers guests easy access to a 12 kilometres long sandy beach, an 18-hole golf course, water sports and other recreational facilities.

Fuzhou Changle International Airport is conveniently located 13 kilometers or about a 15-minute drive away, providing travellers easy connections to and from other local and international destinations. Fuzhou Marriott Hotel Riverside is set to bring intuitively-designed spaces for guests to work or relax.

With over 2,200 years of history, Fuzhou attracts both domestic and international visitors with its cultural heritage, traditional crafts and local cuisines. Major attractions include the famous historical street of ten ancient lanes called Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Drum Mountain and Xichan Temple.

Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian, and makes an ideal base for exploring other areas of the province, including Xiamen, Wuyi Mountain and the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed Fujian Tulou earthen houses, dating back to the 17th century.

Fuzhou Marriott Hotel Riverside offers 1,750 square meters of meeting spaces capable of hosting a wide range of events such as small to large-scale conferences, exhibitions and social gatherings; a 1,050 square meter Grand featuring a built-in 95 square meter high definition LED screen with its direct access to the courtyard garden, is ideal for welcome drinks and tea breaks during events. Five customizable function rooms, complete with video conferencing facilities, provide venues for smaller meetings and other occasions.

The hotel’s “Star of The Ocean” outdoor chapel, set in a waterscape garden, provides a wedding. Next to the chapel, a green lawn is the perfect spot for an intimate reception or private dinner after the ceremony.
