Miami (TAN): The popular musical ‘Footloose’ will be performed for the first time at sea on board Florida-based company Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Joy, after it sets sail for Alaska in May.
Norwegian Joy’s entertainment lineup will also include the wine-tasting comedy, ‘Wine Lovers: The Musical’, and ‘Elements’ – an aerial acrobatics show.

Norwegian Cruise Line President and CEO Andy Stuart said: “We are very excited to showcase Footloose, a feel-good, positive show that encourages people to embrace new ideas, stand up for what they believe in and dance their hearts out.”
“We’re certain it will have guests ‘kicking off their Sunday shoes’ as they enjoy their cruise vacation aboard Norwegian Joy as she makes her debut in Alaska in May 2019.”
‘Footloose’ is based on the iconic film of the same name, that narrates the tale of a Chicago teen who loves dancing. He moves to a small Utah town with a ban on Rock n’ Roll where his rebellious spirit shakes up the people.
‘Wine Lovers: The Musical’ is a wine-tasting musical production that offers guests the opportunity to taste a variety of wines while enjoying a musical comedy about the joys of wine and love.

The aerial acrobatics show, ‘Elements’ deals with the four elements of earth, air, water and fire with major feats, music and dance.
Norwegian Joy, the 15th ship in the company’s fleet, will make her debut in the United States in April this year.
