Royal Caribbean cruise to return with more attractions after USD 97 million renovation

Miami (TAN): Voyager of the Seas cruise from American cruise company Royal Caribbean International will return this fall after a renovation worth USD 97 million, featuring new thrills and entertainment options for its guests.

The ship will offer experiences for the entire family so that they can do their favourite thing while on vacation. While two new waterslides The Perfect Storm constituting Typhoon and Cyclone will join the already existing attractions – the FlowRider surf simulator, rock-climbing wall and mini-golf, laser tag zone called Battle for Planet Z will be on offer for the adventurous guests.

Voyager has redesigned kids’ spaces with a nursery for babies for the first time, and specially designed area for three to five-year olds. Teens will be able to spend time at an updated hangout area that has been fitted with an outdoor deck. The Adventure Ocean has been reimagined for kids in the three to 12 age group.

For relaxation, the Vitality Spa and Fitness Center will provide services such as massages, acupuncture, manicures, fitness classes and personal training to guests. A refurbished Solarium will be open only for adults.

Voyager will get 72 new guestrooms, a suite lounge and outdoor area for guests in grand suites and above, and the diamond lounge for members of Royal Caribbean’s loyalty programme.

The Royal Caribbean International mobile app will be available on the Voyager, so that guests can check in from their phones. Guests will be able to plan activities, keep track of expenses, reserve dining, excursions and shows through the app while on board.

The ship is scheduled to sail on a series of three- to five-night Southeast Asia trips from Singapore on October 21, and a season of 9- to 12-night South Pacific cruises from Sydney, Australia on November 30.
