Stockholm (TAN): Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will operate a nonstop service between Denmark’s capital Copenhagen and the Italian city Turin, starting December 21, 2019.

The airline will fly between the two destinations once a week on Saturdays until March 21, 2020.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at SAS, Lars Sandahl Sørensen, said: “We are continuously expanding our network of direct routes between Scandinavia and important cultures and markets worldwide. More people are choosing to fly with SAS, and we aim to continue to be relevant and pioneering in a very competitive sector.”

SAS will fly to Italy’s fourth largest city renowned for the iconic espresso, vermouth, wine districts and automobile company FIAT as part of its new winter 2019-20 schedule.

The airline will deploy its Airbus A320neo to serve the new route.

According to the timetable, flights from Copenhagen will depart at 0825 hours, reaching Turin at 1030 hours, local time. Return flights will take off at 1130 hours from Turin, arriving at Copenhagen at 1335 hours, local time.

Under the new winter schedule which runs from October 27 to March 28 with 17.3 million seats on offer, SAS will operate a new direct service from here to Luxembourg, and from Norwegian capital Oslo to Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
