Apart from enhancing the present features, the app will bring a host of new ones. Its new function ‘Capture & Discover’ will use image recognition and speech and natural language processing to recognise the user’s need, match it to a destination served by the carrier, and show supporting information and fare deals related to the destination. This function is currently available only in English.
While the ‘Translation Assistant’ feature uses real-time language translation by voice for customers travelling overseas, the ‘Measure Your Baggage’ which currently supports only iOS, helps passengers find if the size of their bag is within cabin baggage limit.
