Anchorage, US (TAN): A woman on her honeymoon drowned in Alaska when the couple attempted to visit an abandoned bus made famous by the popular book and film Into The Wild, reports said.

The story goes that after graduating from college, Chris McCandless abandoned his possessions, gives away his USD 24,000 savings to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. In 1992, he was found starved to death in the bus.

The ‘Magic Bus’ has now become a memorial, to which many people attempt to hike to.

Veramika Maikamava and her husband, Piotr Markielau, both 24, attempted the same.
