Chicago (TAN): Grand Hyatt, a brand of American luxury hospitality company Hyatt Hotels Corporation, is set to open its first-ever mountain resort in the country in Colorado state’s Vail.

Located in the centre of the Colorado Rockies on the banks of Gore Creek, the 285-room ski-in/ski-out resort will become the brand’s second property in the state. The property design by United States-based architecture firm LEO A DALY draws from the surrounding Vail Valley where Grand Hyatt Vail is situated.

We are excited to bring the Grand Hyatt brand to the captivating destination of Vail and look forward to delivering moments of more for our guests, new colleagues, the Vail community, loyal World of Hyatt members, and beyond,” Grand Hyatt Vail General Manager Dan Johnson said.

The resort, that underwent a multi-million-dollar revamp in 2018, features artwork and interior design inspired by the Southern Ute Native American tribe, the region’s topography and history. While guestrooms and common areas feature a contemporary style, they are accentuated with wood, stone and leather textures, keeping with the landscape of the locale.

Guests can choose from three dining options during their stay at Grand Hyatt Vail – Colorado Rockies-inspired three-meal restaurant Gessner, the Fireside Lounge that features a hot chocolate bar and serves cocktails and small bites, and the Market offering to-go food.

The property, which boasts a spa, an infinity pool, a fitness facility called the Aria Club, and over 30,000 square feet of events spaces, offers guests their own ski lift for access to adventure sports.
