(TAN): Noosa is situated in Queensland, a state known for its sunshine, on the east coast of Australia.  It is not a town but a region full of lakes and beaches and has been designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. 

More than 40% of the native bird species in Australia can be spotted in this small piece of land. 

Places to see

  1. Noosa National Park: Noosa National Park is one of Australia’s most famous parks with a large population of koalas. This is known for its wetlands, wallum heathland, eucalyptus trees, woodlands, and deep rainforest. 
  2. The Big Pineapple: The Big Pineapple is a heritage-listed tourist destination in Nambour. It is a national symbol of food and travel. The Big Pineapple is only 42 km away from Noosa.
  3. Noosa Main Beach: This is a family-friendly beach bordered by five-star lodging facilitates. It is known for its breathtaking ocean views and lovely amenities.  
  4. Hastings Street: Hastings Street is well known for its hotels, cafes, and eateries. Additionally, it is identified as Noosa’s go-to destination foodies. This place is also great for shopping.

  • Miss Moneypenny’s: Miss Moneypenny’s is located on the Hastings Street. This place is Noosa’s one of the chicest dining destinations. This restaurant is famous for its range of cocktails and its world-renowned Mediterranean food.
  • Sum Yung Guys: The restaurant was started by 2016 MasterChef runner-up Matt Sinclair and his friends, and it is well-known for its Asian cuisine. The Weyba Road in Noosaville is where you can find this eatery.
  • Paradise Arcade: Paradise Arcade is a California-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Noosa. This restaurant is famous for its amazing drinks and Mexican food.

When to go

The best time to visit Noosa is from September to November. Given that Noosa has so many beaches, visiting in the summer is the best option for vacationers who want to indulge in the summer activities.

How do get there

The two major airports close to Noosa are the Sunshine Coast Airport and the Brisbane Airport. You can take a shuttle service, a bus, car, taxi, or town car to get from the Sunshine Coast airport. 

Noosa is located 137 km from Brisbane Airport — about a 2-hour drive.
