London (TAN): United Kingdom-based hospitality company InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) brand voco has rebranded a fifteenth century Oxford property voco Oxford Thames, bringing the total number of voco hotels in the country to three.

“We are incredibly excited to be the third hotel in the UK to join the voco family. My team is thrilled to bring this new brand to life in Oxford and look forward to welcoming guests, new and old, with a warm welcome,” Elle Garner, General Manager at voco Oxford Thames said.

The 100-room property, which dates to the Middle Ages, incorporates contemporary style into historical architecture. While guests can head to the Conservatory Restaurant for a ‘seasonally inspired British cuisine’, they can opt for The Crusaders Bar and Lounge for drinks. The fully-equipped health club Oxford Thames Spa and Leisure Club comes with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym for relaxation.

With voco being concerned about sustainability, bedding is made from fully recycled materials, water is served in glass bottles in guestrooms, and aerated showerheads are used to reduce water wastage, among others.

The other voco properties in the United Kingdom are voco St David’s Cardiff and voco St John’s Solihull.
