London (TAN): United Kingdom-based train operator Virgin Trains recently made its way into Birmingham for the city’s LGBTQ festival, which also kickstarted its #RideWithPride season.
“We’re so proud of our diverse workforce at Virgin Trains and taking part in the Birmingham Pride Parade was a real privilege,” said Victoria Whitehouse, Inclusion Lead at Virgin Trains.

“We can’t wait to party onboard the Pride Train with our staff and customers for Pride celebrations up and down our route on the West Coast Main Line for the rest of the Summer,” she added.
Decorated with Pride colours, the Pride Train chugged into the city to join festival-goers in the march and other celebrations. However, the party had already started on the train with drag queen Mary Mac entertaining the passengers. Pride-themed face paint and cupcakes added to the enjoyment.
Later at the parade, Mary Mac joined Virgin Trains employees to perform from a float designed like a Pendolino, a type of Virgin’s high-speed electric train.
